Our 2025 Impact Report, due to be published at the end of March, will provide a detailed overview of the impact of REEL’s work over the past year. It will show how our services have supported women and families through prevention, early intervention, crisis response and long-term recovery, responding to need in ways that are trauma-informed, culturally sensitive and rooted in the community.
The report will highlight key outcomes, learning and lived-experience insights, demonstrating how our work strengthens safety, wellbeing and resilience, and supports people to move forward at their own pace. It will also reflect our contribution as part of the wider Oldham Women’s Network.
We invite you to read last year’s OWN Foundation Members Impact Report to understand the broader collective impact of women-led organisations working together across Oldham.
Over the last three months, we have prevented 607kg of clothing and materials from going into landfill through reuse, redistribution and repurposing. We have reviewed our internal processes to reduce the use of plastics and non-recyclable materials and to embed more sustainable ways of working across our operations.
Wherever possible, items such as zips, buttons and fabric are reused within our Woven projects to extend the life of materials. We also reuse cardboard in partnership with Lees Eco Hub for organic purposes, supporting local circular economy approaches.
Alongside this, we actively encourage mindful consumption, responsible sourcing and waste reduction within our teams and with partners. These actions reflect our ongoing commitment to sustainable practice, environmental responsibility and reducing our impact while continuing to support communities effectively.

Over the past year, we have strengthened and grown our organisation by welcoming two new voluntary directors to our Board, bringing a wealth of expertise, skills and strategic insight that has enhanced our governance and long-term sustainability.
We have increased employability opportunities and expanded our skills-based volunteering offer, alongside delivering corporate volunteering and engagement days that connect businesses with meaningful community impact.
At the same time, we have strengthened partnerships across the borough, reducing siloed working and sharing thought leadership and expertise to support a more joined-up, effective and sustainable approach to supporting women, families and communities in Oldham.
